Book Review: "Fault in our Stars by John Green"

Title: Fault in Our Stars
Author: John Green

Diagnosed with Stage IV thyroid cancer at 13, Hazel was prepared to die until, at 14, a medical miracle shrunk the tumours in her lungs... for now.

Two years post-miracle, sixteen-year-old Hazel is post-everything else, too; post-high school, post-friends and post-normalcy. And even though she could live for a long time (whatever that means), Hazel lives tethered to an oxygen tank, the tumours tenuously kept at bay with a constant chemical assault.

Enter Augustus Waters. A match made at cancer kid support group, Augustus is gorgeous, in remission, and shockingly to her, interested in Hazel. Being with Augustus is both an unexpected destination and a long-needed journey, pushing Hazel to re-examine how sickness and health, life and death, will define her and the legacy that everyone leaves behind.

This book really made me cry hard. I have heard good reviews about it so I decided to take a plunge on it. At start it was a bit boring the phasing of the story is slow then suddenly I realized I was riveted with the story. Over by the end part of the book it dragged me to the scene and made my cry hard as I read and finish it. Augustus and Hazel's story was very romantic, cool and very heartbreaking.....Its a bit odd to say but this book brought my emotions into a whirlwind. I am laughing at the middle of some scenes then suddenly I cry....hahaha If you saw me right at that moment you would say I was crazy...Oh yes! Ill admit the book made my sanity bit confused....bwahahaha......It is loaded with inspirational quotes so I highly recommend it for you guys to read it. It made me realize how lucky I am, and I have no right to complain when there are some people like them who is suffering pain.

"Pain demands to be felt"

"w/o pain how could we know joy"

"no matter how high you kick, you cant go all the way around"

"the world is not a wish granting factory"

"I just ant to be enough for, I cant never be"

"Its a metaphor: You put the killing thing right between your teeth, but you don't give it the power to do its killing"

"even if we survived the collapse of sun, we will not survive forever"
